We've played it. One campaign with 3 maps. M60 is a one shot deal, like the Chainsaw or Grenade Launcher. Once it runs out of ammo it disappears. Golf Club is OK, they have an achievement to go with it. They've added the "Fallen Survivor" uncommon infected. Kind of like the CEDA agents except they drop ammo/health when they die. They will run away under fire so you have to chase them down.
Played through on Easy to get a feel for the maps. The middle map is going to be hard with more zombies as there is a big section near the end in flooded sewers. Endgame is like Dead Center, run around to get gas to fill the generator so you can lower the bridge. Zoe, Frank and Louis are on the bridge with 50 cal near generator (Bill is dead). Lure the tank and hordes there and they will help out. One thing you will notice even on easy, multiple Specials at once and they seem to work together. Pounced by Hunter and Spitter hits you at the same time. Charger and Jockey attack together and pull Survivors in opposite directions. 2 Hunters back-to-back. I'm sure it will only get nastier as things move up.
Mutation is a "new" game mode. Every week they take existing game types or features and mix them up. First week is "Realism Versus". I've only played the Survivors so far and it's interesting. You're playing versus but with the Realism mods (no glow around friendlies or drops, zombies take less damage from body shots so aim for the head, if you die you only come back at the Safe Room, etc.).
